About the Artist
I am a jewelry wire artist, designer and teacher; my designs are all about bringing out the beauty in the stone. My pieces have an unusual blend of traditional and contemporary designs ~ some delicate, some big and sassy. I don't want to look like everyone else! My pieces are one of kind pieces of art. I work with silver, gold, copper and brass wire and sheet metal along with semi-precious stones. I have always been involved in the arts in one form or another; drawing, painting and photography are a few of my favorites. I was an Art major (graphic design and photography) in vocational school and college. The design principles I learned there have come in handy in many areas of jewelry making. Working with wire and metal has been a fascinating and rewarding journey; I have finally found my passion!
What makes GS Designs so unique and desirable?
I search far and wide for each component that is used in my designs. My work includes handcrafted glass beads, custom cut designer cabochons along with hand made sterling silver charms and findings. These items are blended together with natural elements like shells, gemstones, pearls, beads and crystals. The designs are inspired by nature and colors in nature.
